Astor is 147 mm across the front and 150 mm along the temples, which is where most frames have already stopped. The 55 mm eye and 18 mm bridge open the nose area instead of closing it, and the 43 mm lens height means the rose field covers the full direct line of sight rather than leaving a bright strip beneath the rim. On a broad face that strip is the part people notice, because light entering below a short lens bypasses the filter entirely. The bold square profile carries the size rather than apologizing for it.

FL-41 LightAll-day wear indoorsDrawn for people who want the filter on all day rather than only in a bright room. The rose-band notch matches FL-41 Dark; the overall transmittance is higher. The full laboratory report for this tint is in finalization and will be published here. 100% UV400.
FL-41 DarkSevere photophobiaFilter Category 2, 41.1% luminous transmittance. The blue band is attenuated rather than cut, 7.9% at 420 nm and 13.8% at 450 nm, and the green band drops with it to 12.6% at 520 nm. Everything from 670 nm up passes at 100%.

Fit
Will the Astor fit you?
Astor is extra-wide and only makes sense on a face measuring close to 147 mm between the temples; on a medium face it will slide down. The 55 mm eye with an 18 mm bridge gives a generous nose opening, useful if narrower frames leave marks. A 43 mm lens height brings the lower rim toward the cheekbone, covering more of your downward gaze. Temples are 150 mm, longer than standard, so the arms sit further back.
