Sleepaxa Research & Development
A research-driven
photobiological eyewear
company.
Sleepaxa designs precision-filtered optics for migraine relief, photophobia, sleep restoration, and circadian health, grounded in seven openly published research papers, a granted patent, and patent-pending spectral architectures developed entirely in-house.
The Sleepaxa Difference
Most eyewear is sourced.
Ours is engineered.
Most blue-light and migraine glasses on the market are pulled from generic manufacturing catalogues, with a tint applied at the end almost as an afterthought. Sleepaxa works the other way around, starting from the wavelength: deciding which light bands to filter, which to preserve, and how to balance the two into eyewear that is genuinely comfortable to wear all day.

Industry Reality
We engineer from the wavelength, not the catalogue.
Most products labelled "blue light blockers" or "migraine glasses" follow generic manufacturing templates with an arbitrary tint depth. Sleepaxa is built differently, on proprietary filtration targeting, optometry-led selection protocols, and patent-pending spectral programs grounded in our own photobiology research, ipRGC pathway studies, and circadian optics engineering, all openly published on Zenodo.
The Architects
Built by people who've
spent their lives on light.
Decades of clinical optometry. Years of optical-engineering research. Combined into one mission: building the photobiological eyewear the category never had.
Mr. Suraj Dubey
Founder · Senior Optometrist
10+ years in clinical optometry, optical-comfort engineering, and selective-wavelength research. Inventor behind Sleepaxa's granted Patent IN 587746 (NeuroCalm FLX+) and the patent-pending Circadian560 architecture, focused on bridging photobiology research with real-world wearable comfort.
Prof. Monica Chaudhry
Founding Clinical Advisor · 37+ Years
Decades of clinical optometry, including service at AIIMS (Retd.). Brings rigorous comfort validation, real-world usability protocols, and optometry-informed selection science to Sleepaxa's product development, anchoring the clinical view on light-triggered sensitivity.
Research Foundation
The science we build on.
The pillars we stand on.
Every Sleepaxa product rests on three converging fields of light science, each researched and documented by our own team.
i.
Wavelength-Selective Filtration
The foundation of photobiological eyewear, engineering precise filtration zones that target problematic wavelengths while preserving the comfort-critical perception bands. It is the science behind every Sleepaxa lens.
ii.
ipRGC Pathway Science
Intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) govern the brain's response to specific wavelengths. Their activation drives migraine pain pathways and suppresses melatonin, and our research feeds directly into every filtration design.
iii.
Circadian Optics Engineering
Sleep research has mapped the precise wavelength bands that suppress melatonin. Our Circadian560 spectral architecture is engineered around that science, extending filtration to 560 nanometres for maximum protection.

The Sleepaxa Method
How we engineer
photobiological eyewear.
i.
Spectral Architecture
We define the target wavelength zones (the trigger regions) and the comfort-preservation bands first. Tint depth comes after the filtration profile, never before it.
ii.
Clinical Validation
Optometrist-led usability testing for long-wear comfort, optimised against real-world environments: screens, fluorescent offices, outdoor light, and indoor LEDs.
iii.
Lab Verification
Spectrophotometry curves validate UVA/UVB attenuation and the visible-light filtration profile on every batch. Every lens documented, every batch verified.
"
Comfort isn't achieved by blocking everything. It's achieved by engineering the right wavelengths.
