Eclate Copper Canyon

Translucent copper canyon acetate, a warm rust tone you can see light through at the rim.

Copper Canyon is a translucent acetate rather than a solid one, so the rim carries light instead of blocking it and the depth of tone shifts between the thick part of the front and the thin edge near the hinge. Italian acetate cut from a solid block takes that translucency in a way pressed plastic cannot, and more than sixty finishing steps bring the edge up to a polish rather than a matte cut line. The outline underneath is deliberately restrained: 49 mm lenses on a 139 mm front, with 40 mm of lens depth. At laptop distance that depth puts the whole panel inside the tint without the lower rim entering your view of the keyboard.

Will the Eclate fit you?

A 139 mm front puts Eclate at the smaller end of medium, so it works best if your current frame measures roughly 48 to 51 mm across each eye. The 20 mm bridge is generous next to a 49 mm lens, which lets the frame sit level rather than tipping forward. Lens depth of 40 mm holds the rim above the cheekbone for most people. Temples are the standard 145 mm. Broader faces should size up.
