A wayfarer angles its temples outward and slopes the top rim, which is why it suits so many faces without being adjusted. Hudson holds that outline at 52-19-145 on a 139 mm front, slightly wider than a standard medium, with a 40 mm lens height. Those two numbers together give a large tinted area relative to the eye size, so the filtering reaches well past the pupil in every direction. Worn in the evening, that is the difference between a frame that blocks what you are looking at and one that blocks what is around it too.

Amber lensThe whole evening, indoors or outAt the melanopsin peak of 450 nm this lens passes 0.10%. Longer wavelengths open up quickly, 66.6% at 560 nm and 96.3% at 600 nm, so color stays usable. Filter Category 1 at 50.5% luminous transmittance means it is rated for outdoors as well as indoors.
Red lensThe hour before bedThe blue and green bands are gone outright, with zero measured transmission from 380 to 560 nm. What gets through is long-wavelength, 49.7% at 600 nm and 92.9% at 700 nm, with 100% UV protection (UV400).

Will the Hudson fit you?
Hudson sits at 139 mm across the front, a touch wider than a typical medium frame. The 19 mm bridge is roomy against a 52 mm eye, which keeps pressure off the nose. Lens height of 40 mm means the rim comes down close to the cheekbone, so check clearance if your midface is short. The 145 mm temples are standard length and the outward angle helps the arms clear wider heads without spreading.
