Retrion sits in The Heritage Series, so its front begins as a solid block of Italian cellulose acetate and is cut by hand before being polished across more than sixty separate steps. That process is the reason a Heritage rim feels warm and slightly yielding against the skin rather than hard-edged, and it is the main thing separating this group from the rest of the range. Both sleep tints are offered on it, in zero power or with a prescription, and both carry the same measured transmission you will find on every lens we publish.

Amber lensEvening, indoors and outdoors0.10% at 450 nm is the headline figure. Green is trimmed rather than erased, 40.5% at 550 nm and 66.6% at 560 nm, and 100% UV protection (UV400) applies across the lens.
Red lensIndoor night useCategory 3 at 14.9% luminous transmittance, this lens is for indoor use only. It measures zero from 380 to 560 nm and passes 49.7% at 600 nm, 92.9% at 700 nm.
All figures are single-lens spectrophotometer measurements from our own laboratory reports for this lens, tested to EN ISO 12312-1, ANSI Z80.3 and AS/NZS 1067.1. Individual response varies.
