Voirch Twilight Brown Fade

A small cat eye in a twilight brown fade, with the lift at the outer corner that the shape is named for.

Voirch has the smallest front in the Performance Hybrid Series at 134 mm, and a cat eye at that width has to be precise, because the upswept corner only works if the lens stays compact. A 53 mm eye with 43 mm of depth gives a rounded, slightly raised aperture that keeps the tinted area wide relative to the frame around it. Construction is Ultem with titanium reinforcement at the temples and bridge, about 12 grams all in, wearing MR-8 Mitsui optical-grade resin lenses. Made for small and narrow faces that want migraine glasses with some character to them.

• 7.9% measured transmission at 420 nm and 13.8% at 450 nm - the blue band is attenuated across its width rather than cut
• 12.6% at 520 nm - the green band is attenuated in the same pass

Will the Voirch fit you?

Three numbers sit inside the arm of your current glasses, in the order eye, bridge, temple. Voirch is 53-16-145. The front measures 134 mm, the narrowest in the hybrid range, and it is intended for faces of roughly 128 to 136 mm. If your last frame was 142 mm or wider this will be noticeably tight at the temples. Arms run a standard 145 mm despite the small front, so length is rarely the limiting factor here.
