Celestial Beaver Brown
The large Celestial square again, this time in a cooler brown.
Beaver brown is a grayer, less golden brown than the camel version, which makes the same outline read quieter on the face. The geometry is unchanged and still substantial: a 149 mm front, the widest in The Heritage Series, a 54 mm eye, a 16 mm bridge that keeps the lenses tight together, and 44 mm of lens height. Like every Heritage frame it is hand-cut from solid Italian cellulose acetate and polished across more than sixty separate steps. Pick this over camel if you want the size without the warmth.

Amber while you are up, red before you are not
Amber lensEvening, indoors or outdoors0.10% at 450 nm is the headline figure. Green is trimmed rather than erased, 40.5% at 550 nm and 66.6% at 560 nm, and 100% UV protection (UV400) applies across the lens.
Red lensLate, indoors onlyFrom 380 to 560 nm measured transmission is zero, so blue and green are removed entirely. Only long wavelengths pass: 5.8% at 570 nm, 49.7% at 600 nm, 92.9% at 700 nm. Luminous transmittance 14.9%, Filter Category 3, indoor use only.

Will the Celestial fit you?
Celestial Beaver Brown is a wide frame with a 149 mm front, so broad temples will carry it best. A 16 mm bridge is narrow against the 54 mm eye, which anchors the frame on a slim nose bridge but is not the right choice for a wide one. The 44 mm lens height is deep and wants clearance between brow and cheekbone. Temples run 145 mm. The fit is identical to Celestial Camel Tone.
