Celestial Camel Tone

Pale camel acetate on the largest square we cut, warm and light where a big frame is usually heavy and dark.

Size and visual weight are not the same thing, and Celestial Camel Tone is the proof. The outline is the biggest in the range at 149 mm hinge to hinge with 54 mm lenses, but camel is a pale sandy brown, so the front recedes against skin rather than drawing a thick dark border across the middle of the face. The bridge is the number that stands out: 16 mm, narrow for a lens this wide, which pulls the two lenses inward and keeps the span from overreaching the nose. Depth runs 44 mm. The acetate is Italian, hand-cut from a solid block and polished over more than sixty steps.

Will the Celestial fit you?

This is a wide fit and needs a face to match: 149 mm across the front is the broadest we make. What softens it is the 16 mm bridge, unusually narrow beside a 54 mm lens, so the nose opening stays moderate even though the frame is large. A 44 mm lens depth brings the lower rim well down, covering a tall display but reaching toward the cheek on a short face. Temples are 145 mm.
