Eclate Copper Canyon

Copper Canyon is the tone that most nearly matches the amber lens, so the frame and the filter blend into one warm object instead of two separate ones. The rectangle beneath is moderate in every dimension: a 49 mm eye, 20 mm bridge, 145 mm temples, 139 mm across the front and 40 mm of lens depth. As a Heritage frame it is hand-cut from solid Italian cellulose acetate and polished across more than sixty separate steps, which is what gives a saturated color this kind of depth rather than a flat painted look.

Amber lensFrom late afternoon onwardAt the melanopsin peak of 450 nm this lens passes 0.10%. Longer wavelengths open up quickly, 66.6% at 560 nm and 96.3% at 600 nm, so color stays usable. Filter Category 1 at 50.5% luminous transmittance means it is rated for outdoors as well as indoors.
Red lensOnce the lights go lowThis tint measures zero from 380 all the way to 560 nm. Beyond that it climbs, 5.8% at 570 nm to 92.9% at 700 nm, and it carries 100% UV protection (UV400). Indoor use only at Filter Category 3.

Fit
Will the Eclate fit you?
This is a medium frame at 139 mm across the front, appropriate for average temple width. Its 20 mm bridge is wide relative to the 49 mm eye, spacing the lenses and keeping the nose fit relaxed rather than gripping. A 40 mm lens height puts the lower rim comfortably above the cheekbone on most faces while still covering a downward glance. Temples measure 145 mm. Between this and Eclate Crystal White, only the color changes.
