A wayfarer you can see straight through, so only the tint registers.
Clear rims make a familiar shape feel lighter than it measures. Hudson Crystal Clear keeps the angled temples and sloped brow of the original wayfarer profile, sized at 52-19-145 with a 139 mm front and a 40 mm lens. On a transparent frame the deep lens is easier to live with visually, because there is no heavy border drawing attention to how much of your face the eyewear covers. That makes it a reasonable pick if you have avoided sleep glasses on the grounds that they look like safety equipment.

Amber lensEvening hours, indoors or outdoorsThe amber tint reads 0.10% at 450 nm and 0.48% at 500 nm. Part of the green band survives, rising to 40.5% at 550 nm and 66.6% at 560 nm. It carries 100% UV protection (UV400).
Red lensNight, indoors onlyZero transmission across 380 to 560 nm makes this the darker of the two. Long wavelengths carry the image: 5.8% at 570 nm, 49.7% at 600 nm. Filter Category 3, 14.9% luminous transmittance, indoor use only.

Will the Hudson fit you?
At 139 mm the front is marginally wider than average, so Hudson Crystal Clear covers most medium faces comfortably. The 19 mm bridge gives a wide nose opening against a 52 mm eye. Lens height runs 40 mm, deep enough to filter a downward glance but close to the cheekbone on a compact face. Temples measure 145 mm. Clear rims show smudges more readily, so the cloth in the box earns its place.
