Metro runs a 32 mm lens height, the shallow end of everything we make, on a 54 mm eye with a 16 mm bridge and a 135 mm front. That shallow depth changes how the frame behaves under a desk lamp: the rose field sits high and tight to the brow, so there is less tinted glass in your peripheral vision and less of the frame visible in a mirror. The 145 mm temples and medium front keep the whole thing in familiar territory. It is the least conspicuous way to wear a filter through a working day.

FL-41 DarkWhen the room gets too brightThe blue band is held down across its width instead of being removed: 7.9% at 420 nm, 13.8% at 450 nm. Green comes down with it, 12.6% at 520 nm. Luminous transmittance is 41.1%, Filter Category 2, with 100% UV protection (UV400).
All figures are single-lens spectrophotometer measurements from our own laboratory reports for this lens, tested to EN ISO 12312-1, ANSI Z80.3 and AS/NZS 1067.1. Individual response varies.
Fit
Will the Metro fit you?
At 135 mm the front is medium, so Metro suits an average face rather than a broad one. The 54 mm eye with a 16 mm bridge gives a standard nose fit, neither narrow nor open. The 32 mm lens height is the shallowest in the range, which means the lower rim clears the cheekbone easily but also that less of your downward gaze sits behind tint. Temples are 145 mm. Anyone wanting more coverage should size up to Sterling.
