Depth is the whole argument for this frame. Where a typical evening pair gives you thirty-something millimeters of lens, Regent gives 45, and it does it across a 55 mm eye on a 141 mm front. The flat top rim keeps that mass looking intentional instead of bulbous. Black makes the horizontal line at the brow more pronounced, so the frame reads graphic from across a room. Temples are 140 mm and the bridge 17 mm, a narrow bridge that anchors a large front and stops it walking down the nose.

Amber lensEvening, indoors or outdoors0.10% at 450 nm is the headline figure. Green is trimmed rather than erased, 40.5% at 550 nm and 66.6% at 560 nm, and 100% UV protection (UV400) applies across the lens.
Red lensIndoor night wearBlue and green are removed entirely across 380 to 560 nm. Transmission resumes at 570 nm with 5.8%, hits 49.7% at 600 nm and 92.9% at 700 nm. Luminous transmittance is 14.9%.

Will the Regent fit you?
A 141 mm front makes Regent Jet Black a wide fit, best on faces that already need a larger frame. The narrow 17 mm bridge pairs with a 55 mm eye, so the lenses sit close together and the frame grips well. The 45 mm lens height is the deepest in the range and needs vertical room between brow and cheek. Temples run 140 mm, which is short, so a long head may feel the bend arrive early.
