Riviera Jet Black
A lifted oval cat-eye, the smallest eye in the range, for faces that drown in a square.
Riviera runs a 50 mm eye, the narrowest we cut, inside an oval cat-eye outline that rises at the outer corner. On a 135 mm front and a 33 mm lens height, this is a compact frame by design: less glass, less rim, less of everything. The 19 mm bridge is deliberately wide for that small an eye, which keeps the frame from sitting low. Anyone who has tried a large photophobia frame and felt swallowed by it is the person this outline was drawn for, and the cat-eye lift keeps it from reading clinical.

FL-41 LightMild sensitivity, all dayIndoor wear, all day. Higher overall transmittance than the dark lens with an identical rose-band notch, so the filtering character does not change, only how much light comes through. FL-41 DarkBright rooms and glareFilter Category 2, 41.1% luminous transmittance. The blue band is attenuated rather than cut, 7.9% at 420 nm and 13.8% at 450 nm, and the green band drops with it to 12.6% at 520 nm. Everything from 670 nm up passes at 100%.
All figures are single-lens spectrophotometer measurements from our own laboratory reports for this lens, tested to EN ISO 12312-1, ANSI Z80.3 and AS/NZS 1067.1. Individual response varies.
Fit
Will the Riviera fit you?
Riviera is medium at 135 mm across the front but small in the eye at 50 mm, so it suits a narrower face or anyone who finds standard frames oversized. The 19 mm bridge is wide relative to that eye, which lifts the frame and keeps it clear of the cheek. At 33 mm the lens is shallow, so coverage below the pupil is limited. Temples are 145 mm. For fuller coverage, Vesper is the closer round option.
