Sterling was drawn for people who keep working after the light goes down, so the outline stays formal: clean square corners, a level brow line, nothing decorative. The numbers are 54-18-145 on a 135 mm front, a medium width, with a 39 mm lens height that is unusually deep for a frame this narrow. That combination is the point. You get full coverage of the screen in front of you without the frame widening past your temples, which is what makes larger sleep frames awkward in an office.
Two tints, two jobs
Amber for the overtime, red for afterward
Amber lensDesk hours after sunset0.10% at 450 nm is the headline figure. Green is trimmed rather than erased, 40.5% at 550 nm and 66.6% at 560 nm, and 100% UV protection (UV400) applies across the lens.
Red lensOnce the laptop is closedThis tint measures zero from 380 all the way to 560 nm. Beyond that it climbs, 5.8% at 570 nm to 92.9% at 700 nm, and it carries 100% UV protection (UV400). Indoor use only at Filter Category 3.

Fit
Will the Sterling fit you?
At 135 mm the front is medium, so Sterling suits an average temple width rather than a broad one. An 18 mm bridge is generous for that width and keeps the frame from pinching. The 39 mm lens height is deep for a medium frame, which means good coverage below the pupil but also a rim that sits closer to the cheek on a short face. Temples are 145 mm. Anyone between sizes should try the wider Regent instead.
